I was lucky enough to be a part of BAKAR family of BIT 2k1. it was my most memorable association of life. the grp made me a social animal in the true sense of the term. the description about BAKAR grp wud be incomplete without the mention of it's members. if i was to describe each one of them in minutest deatil then probably i wud be the biggest blogger of all times. so just a small introduction of each of them will suffice for a time.

the ideas expressed in the blog are solely my own and is not meant to hurt any1's feeling. so bhai log even if u don like any thing about it please don't feel offended.

Alok Gupta aka Kola:
he is the cutest and the most daunting guy i have ever met. ranchi may not have taught him anything else in life but surely he did a P hd in dealing with the ricshwalla 's of ranchi. the most memorable moment that i remember i share with him was the one when we were returning from a late night movie show(kola, biyani & myself). we made a self commitment that wht may happen we are going to return back without spending any penny. we tried our luck on most of the cars passing by but none stopped assuming us to be some Highway gang of robbers. suddenly a car slowed we thought that we were in luck. but from inside came out a big gun. i was out of my senses not getting any clue wht to do, biyani was running here and there in search of some shelter. and this idiot was laughing like ravana at the scene of our FATI HALAT.

Ambikesh Prasad aka utsav aka baby :
I shall admit he is a bombshell of talent. singing, dancing, academics, literature and wht not he is good at everything. But every coin has two sides and so does he... he is a bit too lazy.... i remember the night b4 core night when he was there in the room when every1 was busy doing something or the other he was just bothered giving finishing touches to a small poster until he got a big JHAD from ujjwal bhaiya(our team manager).. he rose up finally to paint few
things and then finally went off to doze in abt 30 mins :).

Anand Biyani aka biyani:
wht to say abt him... if i write something that hurts his ego then probably this will be my last blog. a man who believes that words are enough to win any battle. he tortures you with his word to point of AD NAUSEUM(using it so that if biyani ever reads this does not understands it). but above all pakka HISAB walla guy who will not allow even a penny being wasted whether it's his money or the money of the common pool. a very caring guy but the cares seems to be more generous when u r from the opposite sex :) . the event that has been most memorable with him has been(better let the few who know about the ghadi wala episode write this for me).........

Anubha Priya aka jungli:
the lifeline of the grp and the most energetic girl i have ever seen. talk of bakar and she wud say YEH DIL MAANGE MORE..... the most memorable thing i can remeber abt her was the way she used to dominate ever1 while tutoring us the dance steps for dance night. she was the kind of dada in the girls hostel. believe it or not she did all her dadagiri to get more members for rotaract.but a word of caution... she has a mood that sways with very gr8 amplitude. u never know when she will stop talking to you and for wht reason.

Aviral and Pratibha aka bhatti and moti:no use dedicating two different descriptions to them. they shared everything in common whether interests, likings or friends. they are the most extrovert persons i have ever met. they become very gud fren of any1 in no time. the best thing about them is that both of them are very rational thinkers. they were the kind of sarpanch of the grp. if there is a problem the solution must be with them. one memorable incident abt bhatti has been his unexpected reaction(furious) when the anil episode broke out.

Divya aka divu:
the cute little sis of the group. though by birth she was only kola's sis. but bit gave her more brothers then she cud probably think of. she has been eagerly waiting for the rakhi all the year round so that she can buy the rakhis in whole sale for her bunch of brothers. it has been a year since i passed but still a rakhi always awiats me at the post office at the right time.

Ipshita aka ippu:
miss FAS was the kind of girl u can never ever forget. she too is very fast in making friends. she was immensely popular among other groups as well primarily b'cas of her sweet nature.

Mayank Malik aka malik:
the brad pitt of the grp. his beauty wud have charmed even the princes of some state and his contacts wud have frightened even the deans. he was nominated and was the most probable candidate for MUNNA MOBILE. the one episode i still remeber with him was the first semester episode when he drenched my bed and when i was after him for a revenge it was kind of ULTA CHOR KOTWAL KO DANTE.

Mayank seth aka seth aka kisna:
the krishna kanhaiya of the grp. given a single chance to flirt with the girls and i bet he is not going to miss it. :) . but he was truely a darling of all primarily because of his ever helping nature. he was ready to help you and give u immense confidence even at the deadiliest hour of night. had he been not in the grp i shud have got a D grade in the CCA paper.

Neha Srivastava aka neha:
if i was to believe that all good things comes in small packages then she surely shud have been the best example. she was little sweet heart of the grp. whether talk of bakar or studies she was always the fore runner.

Nehanjali Bajaj aka bajaj:
she has been the most enthusiastic member of the gang. she is one of those people who can take any joke in good spirit. she was a big movie buff. waise bajaj... i wanted to tell u onething sometimes we used to cheat in bollywood and give movies that never existed.

Pankaj Mahli aka mahli:
this fas presi has always been a popular man. he is really an artist par excellance. the best thing about him was his Emmotional Quotient (EQ) always exceeded his Intelligent quotient(IQ) so is liye thoda sa senti dose and ur work is done :). had he been not there i would not have passed in most of the vivas and written exams. the most meorable moment with him had been the time when he called me to annonce the new team of fas during the farewell party i really felt honoured by his gesture.

Priyanka Priyadarshini aka PP:
she has been the person who never wants to loose any contact she has ever made. check the grp mail and u have invariably one or two mails frm her. her maxim in life has always been HAAPY GO LUCKY. i have never seen a time when she is in any tension. the picture i can imagine abt her has been tht of the popcorn wla BITOTSAV wher she plays the witch in fash p.

Rachit Kumar aka n____:
he wud tear me in pieces for writing his censored name(though partially) but with the fun every1 gets after reading this i can really afford to lose one life. he has been Mr Shy guy of the grp. he never had the courage to express his feelings to any1. but i shud admit that he was really a literary genius with the vocab he had he wud have ceratainly cleared GMAT with a high score. a truely futuristic man had he been the finance minister of india there wud not have been any chances of india going bankrupt. even if he says he has no money u bet he has atleast 1000 in the reserve. gud for every1 b'cos he always helped any1 in the need.his somnambulism needs no mention as every1 in the grp knows well abt it.

Ratandeep singh aka sardar:
mr singh has been the most reverred member of the family. he held the kind of importance in the grp as sonia has in the congress. this rotaract presi always had innovative ideas and arranged enogh resources so as to make any rotaract event a gala event. again sounding bit cautious... but he is also mr MOODY... u can well predict the weather of ranchi but predicting his mood cud be the most diffcult task in the world.

Ritika Prakash aka ratto:
she had huge fan following and probably her fans out numbered the people we had in our 2k1 batch :) .she is the only person i have ever met who knows more about movie than me. she is a very trust worthy person and a person u can always bank on in time of need. her robotic movement always seemed to suggest that she wud have been a ramp walker in her previous incarnations.

Sahil sachdeva aka noorie:
the most studious and the most inti banda of the family. he had only one problem his loyalty to sukku. he never missed any lecture and always adorned the first row of the class. the most memorable moment with him has been the time when he drank to his heart's content and then doomed every1 with his divine knowledge. :)

Satyam shivam aka baba:
the wiz kid of the grp. he had mini robotics lab in his room which became the pilgrimage of most of the juniors during tech fest. he was quitest guy in the grp. had he been not there i wud not have written this mail from an IBM terminal :) . he was the guy who helped me with all the C questions during the IBM placements.

Saumya Rai aka nani:
she has been the only doctorni in our grp. not only was she frm pharmacy but was also advocating ppl do this do that. but believe me she had been very encouraging in any endeavour u undertake.

Suvradeep saha aka bunty:
the zakin hussain of the grp who had no troble with him except for his hindi. he had a sense of humour that can make any1 laugh. he can make more face of expression than even present in the biggest smiley collection one cud ever see. he was best known for his pangas with bokara. whether it was abt stealing all-out liquid or waking him up for dettol soap.

Saurav aka bokaro:
he has been one person ho best suits the song NAAM GUM JAYEGA. very few ppl knew him by his true name. he has been the best man to shop for u. u ask him to get anything for u and i bet he will get it for u no matter which part of the world its sold. the secret is still a topic of reasearch that all the Mythological Magazines(letters to pent*****) we had disappeared once it went to his room(black hole).....

Shivam aka bum:
3 years room partner+ 30 lost clothes+ 300 lost pens+ 3000 figths = bum. that was the kind of guy he was. this JA BHULA DIYE guy was the most feared of the lot. u need not wonder if one fine day u get to read the news that this guy went to his honeymoon and lost his wife there. this was the same incident that happened to me. when he came to pune to meet me. we roamed to all the possible spots and at the end when he stopped at the fueling station to get some petrol. he paid the person there, started the bike and went away. he forgot that i was with him on the bike. i called his name but in vain and then suddenly when he comes across a big pothole on the road he turns back and remebers that i was also there with him. But believe me he is a real gem at heart.

Tejinder Kaur sablok aka ritu:
the masterni of the grp. she was most feared of the lot for her incessant scolding. i remember the best of them all hen when biyani was given a good lesson for his deeds on stage at the chidiya chidiya performance of the dance nite. yet this sardarni is a pure gold at heart. i remember she was the only partner when myself and noorie decided to visist the temples during the puri trip.

Twisha Anand aka amma:
she had only one maxim in life- LIFE IS LIKE AN ICE CREAM ENJOY IT B4 IT MELTS. she is a talented dancer a versatile singer and a good poet as well. alas i cud not give her my slam book so till date i miss a poem tht she wud have written in my slam book like she did for others. to admit the fact she had been my first crush. :)

Vatasalya Narain aka tata:
if we indulged in 100 fights during our BIT days he wud have been behind 98 of them. he was famaous for his burps and believe me, not a single meal passed when u get to miss his burp. but he was definitely the most jugadu of the lot. he was not afraid of anything in bit except for 1 thing......... BOKARO. but believe me he cud go to any extent to help his frens.

And finally Vishnu Chokhani aka maroo:
